I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Medical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology, working in the group of Prof. Wei Gao. My research develops advanced nanomaterials and micro/nanorobotic systems that can navigate, sense, and deliver therapeutics within complex biological environments—including active strategies for crossing the blood–brain barrier and reaching the brain.

I also build imaging-guided, in vivo biofabrication platforms—such as acoustic printing—that leverage machine learning to pattern functional materials at high resolution inside living systems. Across these directions, my goal is to translate advances in nanotechnology and biofabrication into next-generation precision medicine.

I received my Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from POSTECH and previously held postdoctoral positions at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) and the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). You can find more in my publications and CV.
